Story

As is surprisingly common post-Calamity, Altojin remembers almost nothing from before Dalamud fell. His life, at least as far as he is concerned, more or less begins when he found himself alone on the streets of Limsa. With no idea who he was, where he had come from, or what had happened to him, the only thing he had to go on was a single name elegantly written on a piece of paper pressed in a blank journal: Altojin Qalli.And because it was the only name he had, he had to assume it was his!Whatever happened to him in the past also left him unable to speak. There is a single clue in a scar running across his throat, hidden among his scales. Like everything else in his past, it's origin is a mystery, and with no past to return to and no voice to explain himself, he had little choice but to build a life from whatever came next.Luckily for him, the Limsa provided itself as just the place an amnesiac like him could start a new life for themself!

Are you in need of a courier, a friend, or a kindly do-good stranger? Altojin can never say no to someone asking for his assistance if they seem like they need it, no matter how mundane or excessive the task. Neither is it difficult to convince him your really need it.

I know a guy who knows a guy

Mostly because of his penchant for trying to help as many people as he is able to, there are a surprising amount of people across the realm with whom he can boast a friendly relationship. As unlikely as it seems, he might be contacted to the most random of people.

Not a word

Unable to speak, Altojin relies on many roundabout ways to communicate with others. Besides gestures and miming, Altojin usually has a journal handy to quickly scribble down words or draw pictures. Still, there is plenty of opportunity for miscommunication.

In the before times

Altojin has absolutely no recollection of anything about his life before the Calamity. Although he's accepted that he might never find out any of the specifics, Altojin still can't help but be curious about his past, his heritage, and how or why he was in Gridania.For whatever reason, remnants of his distant past in the Steppe seem easier to ascertain than the past immediately proceeding his memory loss.
